Wu Yingjie, male, Han nationality, 22 years old, hails from Urumqi, Xinjiang. He is an undergraduate student in Class 3, Grade 2020, majoring in Mechatronics Engineering at the School of Mechanical and Power Engineering of Chongqing University of Science and Technology.

On the evening of March 19, 2023, while riding on Train 101 of the rail transit Line 1 bound for the University Town from Shapingba Station, Wu Yingjie witnessed the suspect He seriously injuring a passenger seated next to him with a sharp weapon. Without hesitation, Wu Yingjie boldly confronted the situation, firmly grasping He's right hand holding the weapon and restraining him. Wu Yingjie demonstrated the heroic spirit of selflessness and bravery of young people in the new era, as well as the strong sense of social responsibility and justice of Chongqing University of Science and Technology students. He has been successively honored as the "Brave and Upright" individual in Shapingba District and Chongqing Municipality, and on July 3, he was named a national "Brave and Upright" warrior by the Central Commission for Political and Legal Affairs.
