Spring grass is green again, and again comes tomb-sweeping day. On April 5, a cultural activity on the Theme of "InheritTradition, Worship Heroes and Inspire Youth"was held in the Lide Stadium. A total of more than 300 teachers and students attended.

During the "Qingming Festival Commemorating Heroes" memorial education activity, representatives of teachers and students from the School of Electrical Engineering and the School of Mechanical and Power Engineering went to the memorial stone of heroes by Lingxiu Lake to relive the heroic deeds of two martyrs Li Linzhong and Li Hengtai, who sacrificed their lives to save people, and presented flowers to the two heroes.

In the participation and experience activity of "Qingming Inheriting Folk Customs," traditional folk custom experience activities were arranged such as "South Harrier and North Kite,""Becoming Famous in One Step,"" Pot Casting" and "Poems for Qingming," attracting many teachers and students to participate in it. The teachers and students participating in the activity were deeply touched by the long history and breadth of excellent traditional culture of China in the immersive experience. With strong hands-on ability and extensive historical and cultural knowledge, they completed the task through mutual help and cooperation of the team, won the exquisite prize of the activity and tasted the traditional food of Qingming Festival.

Qingming Festival theme cultural and educational activities is one of the "three festivals and two series" brand cultural activities of the CQUST. This activity enables teachers and students to learn the heroic and fearless spirit , to appreciate the altruism and sacrifices of martyrs around them, further strengthens the confidence in Chinese culture,and plays the role of educating students with excellent traditional Chinese culture in promoting traditional festivals into teachers and students.
