On the morning of May 6, Anibal Carlos Zottele, Director of China-Veracruz Research Center of Veracruz University in Mexico, and his party visited the university for exchange and communication. President Zhao Mingjie and Vice-President Shi Jinliang warmly received Director Anibal Carlos Zottele and the delegation. The meeting was held in Conference Room 316 of the office building. Vice President Zhu Yongli, Director of Foreign Affairs Department Li Hairong, Professor Li Jian of the School of Foreign Languages and relevant personnel attended. The meeting was presided over by Li Hairong.
Zhu Yongli, on behalf of the university, warmly welcomed Mr. Anibal Carlos Zottele and the delegation on their visit , and expressed that CQUST enjoys a deep friendship with the University of Veracruz for 13 years. He hoped that the visit of Director Anibal Carlos Zottele and the delegation would lay a good foundation for the next step of joint student training and academic research cooperation between the two universities, and continue to deepen the productive cooperative relationship.
Anibal Carlos Zottele gave an overview of Veracruz University and China-Veracruz Research Center, and said that Veracruz University is willing to work with Chongqing University of Science and Technology to jointly carry out student joint training programs, improve the quality of two-way communication between teachers and students, and promote the construction of research centers between the two universities.
On the afternoon of the same day, Director Anibal Carlos Zottele and Dr. Steven Sotley visited the Latin America Studies Center of our university. Dong Baohua, Executive Deputy Director of the Center, Zhang Tao and Anna, researchers of the Center, and Li Guodaina from the Foreign Affairs Office, participated in the exchange activities.
Up to now, the university has sent 13 teachers and 41 students to the University of Veracruz for exchange and study, and received 14 teachers and 62 students from Mexico to visit and exchange with our university. This meeting will help strengthen the deepening cooperation between the two sides in cultural exchanges, mutual visits by teachers and students, academic research, platform building and other aspects, laying a good foundation for the development of various activities in the future.
