Recently, the 7th National Petroleum and Petro-chemical Electrical Technology Conference ended successfully in Chengdu, Sichuan Province. After the review by the expert panel, the paper "Case Analysis of Damping and Degradation Defects in Metal Oxide Arrester", jointly written by Wang Tao(a student of the School of Electrical Engineering of CQUST) , Wei Gang and Zhang Haiyan( who are Wang's instructors) and Yang Zhenggang of PetroChina Chongqing Natural Gas Purification Plant, won the special prize of the competition.
This paper in brief carries out the state evaluation through the data such as the leakage current, infrared temperature of the surge arrester and formulates the corresponding maintenance strategies , verifies the result of fault diagnosis through actual problem solving, and finally summarizes the characteristics and analysis methods of the voltage induced heating defect, which is well received by the attending experts.
It is known that the competition collected 310 papers on seven topics including new electrical technology and smart application, electrical energy-saving technology, electrical innovation technology. Authors included experts, scholars and technicians in the electrical field of petrochemical industry from all over the country. National Petroleum and Petro-chemical Electrical Technology Conference, sponsored by China Association for the Application of Mechatronics Technology, is a national annual event with great influence in the industry. Up to now, it has been successfully held for seven times, which received strong support by relevant departments of governments at all levels and active participation by industrial enterprises, generating tremendous interest and praise from the industry.
