On October 23, the 31st Chongqing College Students' English Speech, Writing and Reading Contest as well as the 2021 “FLTRP National Talent Cup” English Speech, Writing and Reading Contest for College Students (Chongqing Division) were held at Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications. The contestants from nearly 30 colleges and universities in Chongqing participated in fierce competition and those from our university won three first prizes, three second prizes, and five third prizes in competitions of speech, writing and reading. This has been the best achievement in the history since CQUST students participated in the competition.

According to the report, “FLTRP National Talent Cup” English Speech, Writing and Reading Contest is regarded as the highest level of English contest for students in colleges and universities nationwide. Contest of this year was sponsored by Chongqing Municipal Education Commission, co-organized by Chongqing Foreign Language Society, Foreign Language Teaching Research Association under Chongqing University and Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press, and was hosted by Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications. During the preliminary round, the caring leadership of the school has helped drive the competition preparation. School of Foreign Languages put great efforts in selection of instructors and potential contestants, as well as active organization of on-campus training.
