To celebrate the 72nd anniversary of the People's Republic of China and promote traditional Chinese culture and innovative cultural activities of the new era, the new folk event "Eating Happy Noodles on National Day" was launched on October 1 at the noodle stalls simultaneously in all university canteens. Secretary Li Delong of the university CPC Committee and some representatives of teachers and students gathered together to eat "noodles on National Day" wish the country a future of long-lasting peace and prosperity .

At 11 a.m., Li Delong visited the general security control room of , the south gate and east gate of the university, and presented hot tomato and egg noodles to the staff of property management and security who provide crucial services for the teachers and students of the university, with the air filled with happy laughter and jubilant festivity of all people present.

As the word “noodle” in Chinese is a homophone of “lasting”, the custom of eating noodles has always been auspiciously associated with well-wishing for longevity and felicity. The “birthday noodles” for National Day that canteen stalls treated teachers and students with are symbolic of the patriotic well-wishing of the whole university for our great nation.
