The Final of the 14th English-Speaking Contest of Vocational Skills Competition for College Students in Chongqing was held in CQUST on April 28th. A total of 34 contestants from 30 colleges and universities in Chongqing took part in the contest. After a fierce competition, Xie Yutong, a Resource Exploration Engineering major of Grade 2018 in the School of Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering, won the first prize in the undergraduate group of non-English major with excellent performance under the guidance of Xiao Junyi, the tutor.

The competition is divided into two stages, namely the preliminary and the final . The former was held online, with 58 contestants from 48 universities participating in it . There are three groups, including undergraduate, non-English major vocational college students and English major vocational college students. Jiang Yonghao from Chongqing Vocational Institute of Tourism won the first prize in the English major vocational college student group. Zhong Chunming from Chongqing Water Resources and Electric Engineering College, who won the first prize in the non-English major vocational college student group, will be the representative of Chongqing to participate in the national finals.
