Recently, the Institute of Photocatalytic Environmental Energy Materials and Intelligent Equipment from the School of Metallurgy and Materials Engineering of our university published a new research entitled "Dynamic Internal Field Engineering in BaTiO3-TiO2Nanostructures for Photocatalytic Dye Degradation" (doi.org/10.1021/acsanm.1c00205) in the journalACS Applied Nano Materials, with the School of Metallurgy and Materials Engineering of our university as the first author and Prof. Xiaoyan Liu as the first as well as corresponding author.
It was found in this research that by designing the nanostructures of ferroelectric/semiconductor composites, the ferroelectric-pyroelectric coupling effect of ferroelectric materials can significantly enhance the photocatalytic degradation efficiency of organic pollutants.
