The 13th National University Student Social Practice and Science Contest on Energy Conservationand Emission Reduction came to an end after online defense in Chongqing University. The works recommended by CQUST---Condense PV Device of Coupling Phase Change Thermal Storage Thermoelectric GenerationandA Thermochemical Recycling Device for Chlorine-containing Plastics based on the Direct Coupling of the Gas-solid Fluidization Reaction Process---won the third prize.

It is known that the National University Student Social Practice and Science Contest on Energy Conservation and Emission Reduction, held by the Department of Higher Education, is one of most significant scientific innovation contests for university students in the nation.

With the theme of Saving Energy, Reducing Emissions, and Developing New Energy, the contest , based on the national policies of energy and environment, is a popularand targeted event that aims at meeting the prevailing demands of the country

There were 427 schools participating in this contest, with up to 22,289 participants producing 4,138 valid works that were submitted. The number of colleges participating and works tendered reached a record high.The intense competition saw891 works, of the 1366 ones entered for the final review by 333 experts, receiving awards of various kinds.
