On June 6th, Ma Yu, a CQUST professor visiting in America from Chinese Department of the School of Humanities and Arts , shared online Chinese teaching experience withmore than 260 trainees in the online training for overseas teachers in North America. The training session was organized by the Confucius Institute Headquarters of the Office of Chinese Language Council International, and was undertaken by the International Chinese Language Training Base of East China Normal University.

In 2018, Ma Yu started his visiting scholarship at the Confucius Institute at Troy University in Alabama, USA. Due to the spread of COVID-19 epidemic in the United States, schools have switched to online courses, including Chinese teaching. This training aimed to provide teachers with excellent online course resources and share teaching experience. At the training, Ma Yu gave a presentation titled "Happy Chinese Lesson-How to Use Quizlet to Stimulate Students' Interest", and introduced to the trainees how to use the games provided by the Quizelet platform to conduct online group competitions, so as to better stimulate students' enthusiasm in and improve the practicality of Chinese language learning.
